The Droid icons are smooth, straightforward to identitfy and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a comparatively nice show that allows for ease in comprehensionIt used to be, you had 3 to 5 icons on your cell phone to tell you everything that is happening with your cellular world. Today there is plethora of icons, and at the forefront are the iPhone and the Verizon Droid. Now you can see not only voicemail as an icon, but if you missed a call, if there is a call on hold, new voicemail or new email message. You'll know if there's a problem with your SMS or MMS delivery, if there is new instant message, if data is syncing or if a song is playing on your telephone. The Droid and the icons it has onboard reflect the new smartphone technology. If the ringer is off in silent mode or if the speakerphone is on - there is a separate icon for it. You can tell if there is a call on hold, if the call is forwarded or if there us a calling progress. It will also tell you if GPS is enabled and if it is working. The Droid icons are smooth, simple to identify and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a comparatively nice show that allows for ease in comprehension. The Droid needs this level of icons because it does so much. It even has an airplane mode where wireless services are automatically set to off. All of these icons are show in the status bar on the top of the Droid. Naturally, you get the usual icons, but there are icons for outstanding Notifications and Messages. This suggests that all of the calls, text messages and new e-mails are all shown in this section. They're going to be there till you look after them. This is superb for when you are away from your cell-phone. The Droid doesn't give audio reminders, but it does give you plenty of icons and a green blinking light that will activate the standing bar so you can take care of any outstanding actions that are shown by the various icon notices. All you need to do then is turn on your Droid and touch the specific icon that fits with an action. You can then fix it. For as cool as the Droid is, occasionally it needs to be rebooted. You can tell when this is occurring when the see though wheel icon starts spinning non-stop. You will need to use the Advance Task Killer if you have it, and can use it. There are different types icons for diverse services and apps. Everything from apps to actions to take, Droid icons are easy-to-read and pretty clear cut. ![]()
