The Droid icons are smooth, simple to identitfy and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a comparatively nice presentation that allows for ease in comprehensionIt used to be, you had three to five icons on your mobile phone to tell you everything that's happening with your cellular world. Nowadays there is plethora of icons, and at the forefront are the iPhone and the Verizon Droid. Now you can see not only voicemail as an icon, but if you missed a call, if there's a call on hold, new voicemail or new e-mail message. You will know if there's a problem with your SMS or MMS delivery, if there is new instant message, if information is syncing or if a song is playing on your telephone. The Droid and the icons it has onboard reflect the new smartphone technology. If the ringer is off in silent mode or if the speakerphone is on - there is a separate icon for it. You can tell if there is a call on hold, if the call is forwarded or if there us a calling progress. It will also tell you if GPS is enabled and if it is working. The Droid icons are smooth, easy to identify and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a relatively nice display that allows for ease in comprehension. The Droid needs this level of icons as it does so much. It has got a plane mode where wireless services are mechanically set to off. All of these icons are show in the standing bar on the top of the Droid. Naturally, you get the common icons, but there also are icons for pending Notifications and Messages. This means that all of the calls, texts and new mails are all shown in this section. They're going to be there till you look after them. This is excellent for when you are away from your cell telephone. The Droid doesn't give audio reminders, but it does give you masses of icons and a green blinking light that will turn on the status bar so you can look after any pending actions that are shown by the assorted icon notices. All you need to do then is turn on your Droid and touch the specific icon that corresponds to an action. You can then deal with it. For as cool as the Droid is, often it needs to be rebooted. You can spot when this is happening when the see-through wheel icon starts spinning nonstop. You will need to use the Advance Task Killer if you have it, and can use it. There are various types icons for varied services and apps. Everything from apps to actions to take, Droid icons are easy to read and pretty clear cut. ![]()
