The Droid icons are smooth, easy to identitfy and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a comparatively nice display that allows for ease in comprehensionIt used to be, you had 3 to 5 icons on your mobile phone to tell you everything that is occuring with your cellular world. Today there is amplitude of icons, and at the forefront are the iPhone and the Verizon Droid. Now you can see not only voicemail as an icon, but if you missed a call, if there is a call on hold, new voicemail or new email message. You'll know if there's a problem with your SMS or MMS delivery, if there is new instant message, if information is syncing or if a song is playing on your telephone. The Droid and the icons it has onboard reflect the new smartphone technology. If the ringer is off in silent mode or if the speakerphone is on - there is a separate icon for it. You can tell if there is a call on hold, if the call is forwarded or if there us a calling progress. It will also tell you if GPS is enabled and if it is working. The Droid icons are smooth, simple to identify and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a relatively nice presentation that allows for ease in comprehension. The Droid needs this level of icons as it does so much. It has got an airplane mode where wireless services are instantly set to off. All of these icons are show in the status bar on the top of the Droid. Naturally, you get the usual icons, but there also are icons for outstanding Notifications and Messages. This indicates that all of the calls, text messages and new mails are all shown in this section. They'll be there until you take care of them. This is great for when you're away from your cell telephone. The Droid doesn't give audio reminders, but it is doing give you masses of icons and a green blinking light which will turn on the status bar so that you can look after any outstanding actions that are shown by the varied icon notices. All that you need to do then is activate your Droid and touch the explicit icon that corresponds to an action. You can then sort it. For as cool as the Droid is, sometimes it needs to be rebooted. You can spot when this is occurring when the translucent wheel icon starts spinning nonstop. You will need to use the Advance Task Killer if you have it, and can use it. There are various types icons for various services and apps. Everything from apps to actions to take, Droid icons are easily read and pretty clear cut. ![]()
