The Droid icons are smooth, straightforward to identitfy and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a relatively nice presentation that allows for ease in understandingIt used to be, you had three to 5 icons on your mobile phone to tell you everything that's happening with your cellular world. Nowadays there is plenitude of icons, and at the forefront are the iPhone and the Verizon Droid. Now you can see not only voicemail as an icon, but if you missed a call, if there's a call on hold, new voicemail or new e-mail message. You will know if there's an issue with your SMS or MMS delivery, if there is new instant message, if info is syncing or if a song is playing on your telephone. The Droid and the icons it has onboard reflect the new smartphone technology. If the ringer is off in silent mode or if the speakerphone is on - there is a separate icon for it. You can tell if there is a call on hold, if the call is forwarded or if there us a calling progress. It will also tell you if GPS is enabled and if it is working. The Droid icons are smooth, easy to identify and tend to convey what they mean in a relatively nice display that allows for ease in comprehension. The Droid needs this level of icons because it does so much. It has got an airplane mode where wireless services are mechanically set to off. All these icons are show in the status bar on the apex of the Droid. Of course, you get the common icons, but there are icons for pending Notifications and Messages. This suggests that all of the calls, SMS messages and new emails are all shown in this section. They're going to be there until you look after them. This is superb for when you're away from your cell telephone. The Droid doesn't give audio reminders, but it is doing give you masses of icons and a green blinking light that may activate the status bar so that you can take care of any outstanding actions that are shown by the various icon notices. All you need to do then is activate your Droid and touch the specific icon that fits with an action. You can then sort it. For as cool as the Droid is, occasionally it needs to be rebooted. You can spot when this is occurring when the translucent wheel icon starts spinning non-stop. You will need to use the Advance Task Killer if you have it, and can use it. There are different types icons for diverse services and apps. Everything from apps to actions to take, Droid icons are easy to read and pretty clear cut. ![]()
