You can get images that can be superimposed due to their transparency or a feature called alpha transparency: When you compare PNG with GIF, it will become apparent that a very distinct advantage with PNG is that you will only be able to save a specific color in a transparent format through GIF which means that you can get the color regardless of it being opaque or transparent with no other color in between; however, with PNG, you get a distinct advantage; because the format supports semi transparent pixels. This feature gives you the ability to save a PNG picture with a soft drop shadow and then float it against any background. The Image can also be used as a gradient background or water mark. The format gives you the option to use the slow fading of colors from entirely opaque to absolutely transparent, so that you can see the webpage that lies in the background
They look fabulous: Not only do you get surprising flexibility when using PNG images but also; there are numerous other advantages to incorporating this format. For instance, when you use a JPEG image, you lose a part of the information on the original file each time you save the file, so in time, you will be able to view a noticeable deterioration in the finesse of the media. Even if, this problem has been resolved in the image format and you can save the files without sacrificing any data, GIF has a highly restrictive 256 color palette, which imparts it quite useless if you have to save a photograph. On the other hand, if PNG is incorporated, you could get the perfect features of the image formats; you will have access to a full color display similar to JPEG images and it also offers managed color palette like GIF files. Also the compression of the file is sans loss so the image does not change regardless of how many time you save it.
PNG is self optimizing: A major concern that web programmers need to handle frequently is the issue where the contrast and brightness of the commuter screen has to be adjusted to see the the display correctly; this happens due to various Gamma setting used in monitors from different vendors. Gamma is a technology that helps to distribute the the light across the screen. However, different operating systems use varying Gamma settings. Hence, a picture that is color corrected for Windows will seem wrong when seen on Mac. Once again, in this situation the flexible PNG image type can prove useful, in PNG, you can store the images with with a Gamma correction feature that is innate so despite the differences in operating systems; the Gamma settings will be changed on its own to show a file with the amazing contrast and brightness.
