Stock Photos and Downloading Photographs
If you are a web designer, you can use these same stock pictures and graphics to improve your website layout.When it comes to working up a comp for your graphical design customers, having good stock photos to hand is a must. In the new web era, you can simply download just the right photo or graphic from a myriad of sites designed to allow you to purchase royalty-free photos. Right after purchase, you can download photographs to your hard drive to be used in your mockups. If you are a web site designer, you may use these same stock stills and graphics to improve your site layout.
Photographs and graphics are available in various formats including PNG, JPEG, and EPS. Pro and amateur photographers post their products on different internet sites where people hunting for either graphics or footage can go and buy a photo or art for use. The photographers are paid a royalty for each of the stock photographs they sell, and it is high enough quality to be used in everything from websites ( miniscule size ) to print ( 300 dpi resolution or more ).

Because there are so many sites now, competition keeps the costs down and is a win-win situation for all involved.
