Client In The Computing
The following article is about the importance of the client in the computing world. In the client server environment, the server is just one but there are many different clients that invoke the server with their different needs and requests. The client can ask for all the services from a server, which is always connected to the clientIn the computing world, the setup is usually of the client/ server. There is one server and to which many clients are attached. Anything that a user computer needs can be obtained from the server. There are many different user computers that are attached to the server computer and all the services are provided to them with the help of the server. You can easily request different things that are placed on the server and which can be easily shared between the clients. The client may request different things from the server and in return it can easily get all the things such as different files can be shared between different clients or one printer can be shared between different clients with the help of the server which manages about the request of each computer requesting the printer.
A client is any application which requests the remote applications that are residing some of the other computer which is usually called the server computer. It is only possible due to a network which can either be wired or wireless that both of these computers can easily communicate with each other. The people using these computers can easily connect with each other with the help of this network. The network is a great thing that connects millions of users with each other. At the start the term client was referred to as those devices that did not have the ability to run programs of their own and were dependent on other computers i.e. the servers for the sake of getting many different applications from them.
The same kind of architecture is used even today in the internet where there is a server that connects many clients with each other with the help of a network. These computers can easily communicate with each other and can share the files and other important applications too. One application which is a part of one computer can be easily accessed at the other computer with the help of the network which serves as a mean to connect all of these computers together and provides people with easiness.
