The Droid icons are smooth, easy to identitfy and tend to convey what they mean in a relatively nice display that allows for ease in comprehensionIt used to be, you had three to five icons on your mobile telephone to tell you everything that is happening with your cellular world. Today there is plethora of icons, and at the forefront are the iPhone and the Verizon Droid. Now you can see not only voicemail as an icon, but if you missed a call, if there's a call on hold, new voicemail or new e-mail message. You will know if there's a problem with your SMS or MMS delivery, if there is new instant message, if information is syncing or if a song is playing on your phone. The Droid and the icons it has onboard reflect the new smartphone technology. If the ringer is off in silent mode or if the speakerphone is on - there is a separate icon for it. You can tell if there is a call on hold, if the call is forwarded or if there us a calling progress. It will also tell you if GPS is enabled and if it is working. The Droid icons are smooth, easy to identify and tend to convey what they mean in a comparatively nice display that allows for ease in understanding. The Droid needs this level of icons because it does so much. It's got an airplane mode where wireless services are automatically set to off. All of these icons are show in the status bar on the pinnacle of the Droid. Of course, you get the common icons, but there are icons for outstanding Notifications and Messages. This indicates that all of the calls, text messages and new e-mails are all shown in this section. They're going to be there until you take care of them. This is excellent for when you are away from your cell-phone. The Droid doesn't give audio reminders, but it does give you plenty of icons and a green blinking light that will turn on the standing bar so that you can take care of any outstanding actions that are shown by the varied icon notices. All that you need to do then is turn on your Droid and touch the express icon that measures up to an action. You can then deal with it. For as cool as the Droid is, occasionally it must be rebooted. You can tell when this is happening when the translucent wheel icon starts spinning non-stop. You will need to use the Advance Task Killer if you have it, and can use it. There are various types icons for varied services and apps. Everything from apps to actions to take, Droid icons are easy-to-read and pretty clear cut. ![]()
