What it Takes to Be a Graphical Designer
You can choose from a wide variety of learning programs that qualify you for different things including design, advertising, animation, multimedia, web development and such like.When it comes to graphic designing, there are many levels of education needed to excel in the business. Unfortunately, gone are the days where a huge, company entity will not even look at you if you do not have some kind of degree or certificate indicating some formal training as a graphical designer. You need to prove that you have had specific training in the field. Graphical designer officially called Typesetters are now part of the white collar world.
While getting your hands on that scrap of paper may not reflect your talent and creativeness, in the US and Europe, graphic design schools reflect a level of skill that reflects a person's ability to do the graphic design job. As a result, there are a number of degrees and certificate programs that have developed around this expanding industry.
You can now make a selection from a wide selection of programs that qualify you for different things including graphic designing, advertising, animation, multimedia, web development and the like. While all of these are a part of and related to design, they have special tools and methods that need to be mastered in order to do the job. The principles for all are the same, but the end results are arrived at thru different means.
Many folks lump all these special subgroups under the umbrella called'graphic design', but that takes away from the wealth of programs out there. Multimedia specialists might be working in the design field, but they're more focused on working in the TV industry. Graphical designers work in print media, advertising and so on.
