As I have noticed, traders bought and sold lyres and futures for the Italian actions, entering orders on screens of computers, it the mouse and the keyboard. If I did not know about an essence of their job would think that traders from Milan bank are occupied only by sending of messages by e-mail or wandering on the Internet. But, observing of men and women at computer screens in it to a hall of this Italian bank, I have received fleeting impression about new breed of traders.I trade in a hole of the Chicago Trading Stock exchange 18 years. The real world of trade in a hole where brokers and traders cry out each other the prices of purchases and sales, is a kingdom of young and physically strong people. For them never was and there will be no hole, a physical place where they should to come trade. Everything that is necessary for them for trade, is the computer, the corresponding software and live communication with the market. It is unimportant, whether there are they in Milan, Paris, London, Zurich, Bruxelles or somewhere else. I have clearly seen for the first time that the future stock exchange can be approached to these traders.
As I have seen during that recent trip to Europe, electronic stock exchanges do not demand physical presence, the technology is necessary for trade only. If electronic trading extends in the United States, the same becomes fair and for the American traders — irrespective of an age, sex or physical endurance. Whether they will trade in the electronic way in the American future contracts or at some instant regulating bodies of the USA will resolve access on the European electronic stock exchanges, will not have any value, whether there are they in Chicago or in New York, in Seattle or in Atlanta, or somewhere else.
