As to the client honesty and reliability are those two characteristics which the client constantly searches at the adviser irrespective of the fact which its own character was not spoilt. Your honesty always should keep the client from excitation against you business. People usually are afraid to submit the claim against fair and truthful advisers.Besides other, always pay for own errors supposed during performance of the project. It will eliminate any «it» which the client, probably, accumulates against you. We will result two examples. 1. The adviser for computer programming has committed errors in the task. He has suggested to alter it anew, however took from the client a payment for computer disks, and also a toner for the printer to finish job on corrections. The client has flown into a rage. 2. The financial adviser has by mistake given to the client wrong advice concerning a certain insurance policy. He has rectified the error and has suggested to pay a difference between two payments for the first quarter ($280). The client was delighted and began to admire even more the adviser, told about this case everywhere, making thus to the adviser additional recommendations.
CASE FROM PRACTICE
River ? (it), the adviser for management, has been invited by a large firm for the annual fee. After four years of perfect mutual relations the adviser had a sense of guilt as a result as it seemed to it, uselessness for the company of the client of its help and services. He has rectilinearly told about it to the client, having informed that cannot justify the monthly fee any more. Management was delighted with honesty of the adviser and within the next years continued to invite him for performance of this or that task.
10. Avoid own greed
All like money. But sometimes the price of money is too high. The risk to be involved in proceeding on charge in professional incompetence – too big payment for the fee. Recommendations 4, 7, 8 are ignored more often, as the desire or requirement for the fee blinds so that the adviser does not notice risk.
